Building self-efficacy in Science

Hi, I’m Robert Flack. I’m an experienced science teacher based in Exeter, specialising in GCSE science tuition for students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

With over ten years of classroom experience, a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science, and both a PGCE and Master’s in Education from the University of Cambridge, I combine expert scientific knowledge with proven teaching strategies that help students succeed.

Every student learns differently. Whether your child is aiming for top grades, needs extra support to keep up, or has lost confidence in science, I tailor every lesson to their individual learning style. My experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities—including those with additional educational needs—means I know how to make even the most challenging scientific concepts clear, engaging, and enjoyable.

Based in Exeter, I provide friendly, professional GCSE Science tuition in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, helping students develop understanding, exam technique, and the confidence needed to excel.

Helping students discover that science can make sense—and even be enjoyable—is what I love most about teaching.
